From its inception, the company was oriented towards the field of measurement (tailor's and dressmaker's tapes).
From its inception, the company was oriented towards the field of measurement (tailor's and dressmaker's tapes).
Subsequently, it began developing industrial measurement articles (tapes made of textile material and metal measuring tapes).
By the early 1950s, MEDID was already a leading name in the industry. From then on, it developed its own technology for manufacturing measuring tapes.
Due to significant growth, supported by a central factory with a total workforce of around 300 people. Clear intentions for export.
The original manufacturing system and Medid's tradition, despite the machinery, involve a manual and traditional process.
Likewise, following the publication of Spain's Metrology Law of 1985, the MEDID GROUP proceeded to fulfill the requirements established in that law and subsequent regulations (Metrological Control Register, National Model Approvals, Laboratory Accreditation, Primitive Verification).
By the end of the 1980s, and in line with a global trend in these types of products, the MEDID GROUP was one of the pioneers in the decision to gradually relocate production to geographical areas that could provide lower labor costs and economies of scale.
FROM MEASUREMENT TO CUTTING, MARKING, LEVELING, AND ACCESSORIES: The product range expanded and could now be categorized into MEASURE, CUT, LEVEL, and MARK.
INAUGURATION OF THE NEW WAREHOUSE IN SANTA PERPETUA DE LA MOGODA, BARCELONA (2016) - stock expansion and collaborations with prestigious brands: KAPRO, LYRA, and GROOVY.
We have a vast network of agents spread across the national and international territories. Furthermore, at the international level, the warehouse in Rhône-Alpes, France, was inaugurated to provide more direct and faster service to the French territory.

Leveling
Bubble Levels
Solid and precise, with accuracy ranging from 0.5 mm/m = 0.0285° to 1 mm/m = 0.057° depending on the model. A precision of 0.5 mm/m (computer-controlled) means that a 1-meter level allows a maximum difference of 0.5 mm from the horizontal line at either end of the level, provided that the bubble remains centered between the two level lines.
More durable thanks to thicker aluminum profiles.
Bubble tubes made of turned acrylic glass, hermetically sealed, and equipped with anti-corrosion reading rings. Their special fluorescent liquid has high resistance to UV rays and forms a well-defined and perfectly visible bubble. Highly stable, it provides reliable measurements between -20°C and +40°C. The bubble block is housed in the level's body using materials that provide excellent protection against impacts and absolute stability.
Types of Bubbles
There is a variety of bubble levels to ensure that measurements suit the needs of each case. An essential part of the level is its interior, as it determines the rigidity and stability of the level. Medid levels have thicker aluminum profiles.
FIXED FOR HORIZONTAL MEASUREMENT
The bubble for horizontal leveling is located in the center of the level, and it is through this vial that we determine the direction in which we should tilt the level to be completely flat.
FIXED FOR 45° MEASUREMENT
When we have a diagonal bubble, we are referring to the bubble for 45° measurement.
FIXED FOR VERTICAL MEASUREMENT
The fixed bubble for vertical measurement is typically found at one end of the level and indicates the vertical position at 90°.
HORIZONTAL BUBBLE WITH FLUORESCENT EFFECT
The fluorescent effect of a bubble's vial helps us achieve greater visibility and identify which side is more inclined.
HORIZONTAL BUBBLE WITH MAGNIFYING GLASS
The horizontal bubble with a magnifying glass enhances the visibility of the bubble's position.
MAGNETIC LEVELS
In our catalog, we offer magnetic bubble levels with magnet strength of up to 3 kg.
